Drillham

Just 20 kilometres west of Miles, Drillham was once a bustling railway settlement. Its creek-side weir supplied vital water for steam locomotives during the golden age of rail. Today, remnants of this era can still be spotted along the creek and roadside—a quiet reminder of the town’s rich history.

Dulacca

Just 22 km west of Miles along the Warrego Highway, Dulacca was founded in 1879 with the arrival of the railway.
