Stargazers, this week is your chance to see the Devil Comet or 12P/Pons-Brooks which won't be back again for 71 years.

While most comets are made up of dust, rock, ice and gas, researchers believe that this type erupts when the heat from the Sun increases pressure on the comet internally; resulting in bursts or explosions.

During some of these outbursts, the comet appeared to have two tails, or horns similar to a devil. Hence the name.

The Northern Hemisphere has had an early viewing, and southerners now have the opportunity.

⏰Best time: an hour after sunset

👀Where to look: just above the western horizon

📷What to use: binoculars and a camera
