Tara Lagoon is camping and fishing heaven, with the promise of yellowbelly, jewfish and yabbies to inspire many camping cook ups. Bring your kayak and canoe for a leisurely paddle (no power boats).

If you’re not fishing, there’s always stretching your legs and sightseeing – the lagoon is surrounded by a Memorial Park and a four-kilometre circuit walk with a new boardwalk across the water.

Introducing a fun and eco-friendly way to feed the ducks at Tara Lagoon Parklands. The Duck Feeder dispenses specially designed pellets that helps keep our feathered friends healthy and our waterways clean.

Why not bread?

Bread offers no nutritional value to ducks and causes water quality issues such as algae blooms and disease. By using the feeder, you’re helping protect the lagoon, while giving the ducks the right nutrients.

Simply tap your card, collect a handful of pellets for just $2, and enjoy a safe, happy feeding experience with the ducks.

BushLights Camping & Caravan Park, located 40 minutes from Tara, Queensland, offers a serene off-grid experience on a 100-acre bushland property. Guests can enjoy spacious, self-contained caravan sites, nightly group camp fires, and a mesmerising 30-minute light and music show featuring over 5,000 synchronised lights.
